Freshman Sanders Steps Up In Win Over Seton Hall

The Lady Bearcats faced a tough conference opponent Saturday night at Fifth Third Arena, when Seton Hall came to town. Seton Hall took control of the game in the first half leading 37 to 30 going into half time. In the second half, the Lady Bearcats came out swinging, posting a 10 to 3 run, tying the game at 40 -40. Sanders and Bellman had a big hand in the second half, helping the Bearcats outscore Seton Hall 42 - 25. As time expired the Lady Bearcats came out with the victory with the final score 72 -62. Shanasa Sanders, a freshman point guard lead the Bearcats with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Kahla Roudebush wasn't far behind scoring 20 points, which is the 5th time the past 6 games she reached the 20 point mark and Shelly Bellman scored 12 points, all coming in the second half. This win puts the Bearcat's record at 13-4, with a 3-1 conference record. After a few days off, the Bearcats will head to Louisville for another conference game. The game with be televised on CBS at tip-off at 8 p.m.
